What Easter and or Resurrection Sunday mean to me…

E - Easter egg hunts with my brothers and cousins were some of the most memorable of my childhood. My heart goes out to the many children in Manatee County, FL, who have never had the opportunity to experience having fun during egg hunts.

A - Always a feast of lamb and Arabic dishes like stuffed grape leaves, hummus, tabouli, and Arabic chicken. And who could forget the lighthearted debates around the Nesser dinner table with my brothers? 😆😂😂 What did your family’s Easter menu consist of growing up?

S - Sundays meant attending church with my mom, where I would listen to her sing in the choir loft at St. Louis Church. Celia had a beautiful voice, and currently, I believe she’s singing in heaven for the King. 👑

T - Watching NBA teams battle it out on TV while enjoying a delicious dinner was a highlight. We cheered for the Knicks, Lakers, and Sixers. What’s your favorite NBA team?

E - Each aunt, uncle, and cousin was welcomed with a handshake or a kiss, and if we happened to forget, our parents, Celia or Joe, would let us know with a stern look! 😂

R - Resurrection Day is a powerful reminder to Christians around the world 🌎 that Christ rose from the grave, conquering death and offering us the hope of eternal life through faith in Him. John 3:16.
