Turning Frustration to a Teaching Moment

This week was quite frustrating for me. I had to call my mortgage company three times, and each time I ended up talking to an AI assistant. I found myself having to lie just to reach a human representative! 😆 They attempted to address my specific request through their AI system, but it simply couldn't handle it; I needed a person to assist me.

On Friday, during my final call to pay my mortgage or set up auto-pay, I had to wait 25 minutes to finally speak to someone. I had to change my reason for calling just to connect with a human—if that makes sense! Have you ever faced a similar struggle trying to get through to a person while dealing with AI?

On a lighter note, Mr. D, one of our physical education teachers, noticed I looked upset when I walked into the gym for morning duty. He asked what was wrong, and I shared my frustrating experience with the mortgage company. He chuckled for a moment and then revealed that the word of the day for the kids was "impatient"! 😆 They used my experience as a humorous example that day at school.

While AI can be beneficial for businesses in many ways, it can also be incredibly frustrating. What do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
