OSU Redemption Tour

Jeff, our head custodian at King MS in Florida who is a huge Texas fan.  Texas displayed a lot of grit against the Buckeyes!

What can we learn from sports and college football? The importance of never giving up on ourselves or our teams in the pursuit of excellence! Whether you're a college football fan or not is irrelevant; life is a classroom filled with lessons from people of all ages and experiences, as well as events that unfold both on and off the field.

I take pride in being part of Buckeye Nation, where several student-athletes demonstrate strong character  during games and in their everyday lives, with many openly sharing their faith.

After suffering our fourth consecutive loss to Michigan last November, many sports writers and fans wrote off the Buckeyes. However, as I mentioned in previous posts, the team's resilience shines through in their ability to learn from mistakes and implement necessary changes.

"The story of this team is yet to be told. No great accomplishments are ever achieved without going through adversity. That’s just the truth," Coach Day added. "And so we’ve gone through our share of adversity. That’s life. I told those guys that. We’re not focused on what’s coming down the road, we’re not focused on what’s happened in the past. We’re focused on right now, and being right where we are. And at the end, we want to be able to tell the story of this team."

How will you and I demonstrate resilience in your own life as we head into 2025?

Personally, I make a conscious effort at work to maintain a positive attitude around students, staff, and the community. Currently, I’m coaching clients of various ages, which brings me joy as I make a positive impact in their lives by providing clear guidance. Coaching and counseling complement each other beautifully, and I enjoy exploring the parallels with college football. 🏈

** My heart-felt prayers continually go out to the families in CA who lost their homes in the fires. Life is so fragile and precious. **
