In 1621, the Plymouth colonists from England and the Native American Wampanoag people came together for an autumn harvest feast, recognized as one of the first Thanksgiving celebrations in the colonies. For over two centuries, individual colonies and states celebrated days of thanksgiving.

Growing up in Pittsford, N.Y., my family celebrated Thanksgiving at various aunts' and uncles' homes around Rochester. I always looked forward to seeing my cousins, playing football in the front yard, and, of course, watching NFL games. These cherished memories inspire me to give thanks not only to God for making everything possible but also to witness my brothers’ families continuing this tradition with their children and grandchildren.
What about you? What are your family traditions for Thanksgiving?
