There are countless ways to express gratitude, whether it's holding the door for someone, complimenting them on their achievements, sending an encouraging text or call, or even stepping out of your way to support your community.
How do you show appreciation in your community or classroom of life? Feel free to share your experiences!
In Bradenton, FL, the F.E.L.T. (Feeding Empty Little Tummies) organization provides 1,425 lunches of non-perishable food each week to homeless students from kindergarten through 12th grade via the Manatee County School 🏫 District.
With that being said, once a month, I volunteer with a few members of the F.E.L.T. team to prepare 40 brown bag lunches to feed some of the homeless families in our community. The lunches include peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and various snacks.
Inspired by F.E.L.T., I established the Life is a Classroom (LIAC) FOUNDATION on November 21, 2021 in honor of my parents, Joseph and Celia Nesser. Our foundation continues to support F.E.L.T. through financial contributions and efforts to give back to the local community.
