Earlier this month, The LifeIsAClassroom Foundation was happy 😊 to contribute to a global education initiative. Jon Syre, the HOSA Advisor, represented at the HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) International Leadership Conference in Nashville, TN. Calvin Camps, a seventh-grade student from King Middle School in Bradenton, FL, participated in the largest conference to date, with around 14,900 registered attendees, including 12,000 competitors from all 50 states and various countries. Calvin dedicated significant effort to prepare for a challenging 50-question foundations of medical terminology test, ultimately transforming his 2nd place finish at the state level into a remarkable 9th place finish worldwide! Since the event's inception in 2016, Calvin has become the first boy and the first seventh-grade student from King Middle School to qualify for this prestigious conference. GO CRUSADERS!
